Overview
Many organizations operate assets that are difficult to monitor, costly to inspect, or distributed across multiple locations.
Through a variety of projects I developed and deployed monitoring solutions designed to improve operational visibility and reduce manual inspection requirements.
Tower Monitoring
A major deployment focused on monitoring remote telecommunications infrastructure sites.
The system provided visibility into personnel gate access, vehicle access, and electrical consumption across multiple tower locations.
The project enabled operators to remotely monitor infrastructure utilization and site activity while reducing the need for manual inspections.

Parking Utilization Monitoring
Working with a multi-property residential operator, I evaluated technologies for monitoring parking utilization and occupancy.
Initial deployments utilized infrared beam-break sensors to estimate occupancy through automated vehicle counting.
Additional concepts explored individual stall monitoring technologies.
Field testing demonstrated that vehicle counting provided a practical and economical solution while stall-level monitoring was determined to be too costly and invasive for deployment.
Dust Collection Monitoring
I also supported the development of monitoring solutions for industrial dust collection systems and collection bins.
The objective was to improve maintenance planning and provide visibility into equipment operation and collection capacity.
Although the project did not proceed to full production deployment, it provided valuable insight into industrial sensing and operational monitoring requirements.

Additional Monitoring Concepts
Other exploratory initiatives included pest-control monitoring systems and various industrial telemetry concepts where low-cost sensing technologies could reduce manual inspections and improve operational awareness.
